Lawyer's defamation suit against daily dismissed


KUALA LUMPUR: A High Court here has dismissed a defamation suit filed by lawyer Datuk Mohamad Bustamam Abdullah against Malay Mail Sdn Bhd and its journalist over an article published in the newspaper and its website.

Justice Yeoh Wee Siam made the ruling Friday after she found that the Malay Mail and its former reporter T. K. Letchumy Tamboo were not liable for defamation.
