LONDON: When Malaysia first held the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in 2005 to showcase trade and investment opportunities in the Muslim world, sceptics wondered whether it would go far.
At the conclusion of the 9th edition of the forum held in London on Thursday, chair of the WIEF Foundation, Tun Musa Hitam, said that the greatest achievement was gaining global recognition.
