The suspect who was believed to be in his 20s was shot on his right shoulder while his accomplice who was wielding the firearm, that was believed to be a pistol, managed to escape during the incident at about 12.45am, Thursday.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said that two policemen who were patrolling the area tried to arrest the two suspects after they received information from a drug addict who was earlier arrested.
