Bus driver dies while helping victims


IPOH: Without thinking of his own safety, express bus driver Mat Dan Mat (pic) rushed to help victims of an accident but his unselfish act cost him his life.

In the 5.30am incident yesterday, Mat Dan, 61 stopped his bus by the side of the road at KM190.7 of the North-South Expressway in Bukit Merah to help fellow express bus driver Habdul Ghani Jantan, 46, who was pinned in the wreckage and the other passengers, when a Nissan Grand Livina rammed into him.
