Suluk man pleads guilty to human smuggling


KOTA KINABALU: A Suluk man pleaded guilty for human smuggling and was sentenced to two years’ jail and fined RM10,000 by the Magistrate’s Court in Sandakan.

Rijan @ Mailil Utoh, 42, had committed the crime on a boat at about 11.10pm on Sept 27, and had been pursued by police officers for several minutes before he was arrested.
