Chin Peng: Funeral rites begin at Bangkok temple

BANGKOK: Preparations for the funeral rites for Chin Peng began early Friday at Wat That Thong temple amidst the persistent rain here.

The temple, located along a busy street in the heart of modern Bangkok city, is to be the last resting place for the former Communist Party of Malaya (CMP) secretary-general before his scheduled cremation on Monday evening.
