KOTA KINABALU: The marine police are seeking to extend their area of operations to five nautical miles from one nautical mile offshore Sabah, says Internal Security and Public Order director Datuk Salleh Mat Rasid.
He said the request came up because the marine police found that the limit line of one nautical mile (1.8km) had hindered their crime prevention patrols along the state’s coastline.
