Wake up to call of the nation

MALAYSIA turns 50 tomorrow. That date, Sept 16, is as significant to Malaysians as Aug 31, 1957.

These two dates ought to evoke a supreme sense of belonging, pride and certainly of that much-tossed about term – patriotism. By now it should already be a lasting national feeling for every Malaysian. Indeed, whoever feels ambivalent about these two significant and auspicious dates cannot in all fairness be called upright and country-caring Malaysians.
