Pak Samad: This title is a burden

KUALA LUMPUR: National laureate Datuk A. Samad Said (pix)  says the Sasterawan Negara award which he received in 1986 for contributions to literary heritage has now become a "burden" to him.

“People think I am a national laureate and I get paid but I don’t. It’s just a title which has become a burden now,” he told the Star Online.
