Roti canai seller to stay in jail


GEORGE TOWN: A roti canai seller, found guilty by a Balik Pulau magistrate court of using criminal force with the intent of outraging the modesty of an eight-year-old boy, lost his appeal in the High Court against his conviction.

Judicial Commissioner Wong Teck Meng upheld the 12 months’ jail term imposed on Norwadin Shariff, 40, on Nov 29 last year for inserting his finger into the boy’s mouth.
