Penang ramp collapse: Works resume, Second Penang Bridge to open in October


Works on the collapsed ramp leading to the Second Penang Bridge has since resumed.

GEORGE TOWN: Construction works on the collapsed Batu Maung Interchange section of the Second Penang Bridge has resumed after obtaining approval from the Occupational Safety and Health Department and the Penang Island Municipal Council.

Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bnd (JKSB) public relations and communications adviser Datuk Mohammad Salleh Rafie said works on Ramp 1 and Ramp 2 (Package 3A) of the interchange resumed over the last few weeks.
