Woman who was acquitted three years ago found guilty of same offence


Zuhaila Abu Bakar, who escaped the gallows three years ago for drug trafficking, was sentenced to death on Wednesday after she was found guilty of two similar offences.

SHAH ALAM: A 32-year-old cook who escaped the gallows three years ago on a drug trafficking charge ran out of luck when a High Court found her guilty of a similar offence.

Zuhaila Abu Bakar was sentenced to death along with two Nigerians after they were found guilty of two counts of drug trafficking under Section 39B (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
