KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will begin operation of its electric train at the Rembau station on Aug 30.
In a statement issued here Wednesday, KTMB said the train service would cover the Rembau-Seremban-Kuala Lumpur-Rawang route and the transit stations.
It said there would be six services daily - three services from Rembau to Rawang in the morning and three from Rawang to Rembau in the evening.
The journey between Rembau and Seremban is 25 minutes, while from Rembau to Kuala Lumpur will take one hour and 45 minutes, it said.
The fare from Rembau to Sg. Gadut is RM1.60, Rembau to Seremban (RM2.60), Rembau to Kajang (RM5.80), Rembau to Bandar Tasek Selatan (RM6.90), Rembau to Kuala Lumpur Sentral (RM7.50) and Rembau to Rawang (RM9.50).
A 50% discount will be given to senior citizens, people with disabilities and children aged between four and 12 years-old.
