Jogging couple killed by out-of-control car

IPOH: A couple was killed during their regular Sunday morning jog when a Perodua Viva car mowed them down on Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah here.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong said maintenance manager Lee Woon Bin, 51, died on the spot while his wife, Teh Siew Choo, 47, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here.

Relating the 6.30am incident, ACP Sum said the driver of the car was believed to have lost control of the vehicle and ploughed into the couple in front of the Perak Shooting Club.

The driver, a 30-year-old man, however, managed to escape unhurt and later lodged a police report over the incident, ACP Sum added.
