Cops plead not guilty to taking bribes


JOHOR BARU: Three men, including two policemen, pleaded not guilty to soliciting and accepting bribes under four separate charges at the Sessions Court here.

Kpl Kamarulzaman Khamis, 45, Kons Zamzuri Idha Ismawi, 27, and store worker Cheah Chee Seng, 27, claimed trial before judge Mohamad Haldar Abdul Aziz after being charged with bribery that was an inducement not to detain car service centre worker Lee Tau Hoo, 36, for drug possession.
