KUALA LUMPUR: Three men pulled a 50-year-old poultry trader out of her mini lorry and used it to ram her down before driving off in Taman Serdang Raya.

Rohani Harun, who was badly injured in the head, died at the emergency ward of the Serdang Hospital after the 9.35pm incident on Monday.

The robbers, armed with machetes, had stopped Rohani in Jalan Serdang Raya 6/3 as she was driving home after the day's trading.

Serdang OCPD ACP Abdul Razak Elias said they pulled her out of the lorry and rammed her down as she tried to stop the robbers. Rohani was dragged under the lorry for several metres.

Abdul Razak said Rohani's husband, who had also traded at the night market, had gone home earlier in another vehicle.

He said the police were looking at a closed circuit TV recording at a nearby fuel station in an attempt to identify the robbers. He also appealed to eye-witnesses to contact the police. - Bernama
