KUALA LUMPUR: It takes 14 days and not eight months to process the visas and work permits of foreign workers in the construction industry, said Immigration director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad.
In denying the claim by the Master Builders Association Malaysia, Alias said the department had increased its staff at the Visa and Reference Divisions as well as introduced overtime to ensure that the process did not take too long.
