KUALA LUMPUR: There was high drama in the High Court room here when the family and counsel of an Iranian, sought by authorities in the United States, tried to stop Immigration officers from re-arresting him.
Justice Kamardi Hashim had ordered Sajad Farhadi, a son of a VIP in Iran, to be released after allowing his habeas corpus application and setting aside a Sessions Court order for the Attorney-General’s Chambers’ application to extradite him to the US.
