KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry has no plans to replace the meritocracy system with the quota system, says Deputy Education Minister P. Kamalanathan.
He told the Dewan Negara Thursday that based on the meritocracy principle, all students with the highest merit points regardless of race, religion and background, would not be denied the opportunity of furthering their studies at the public institutions of higher learning.
