Kuala Besut by-election: Don't harass voters, warns EC

BESUT: The Election Commission has warned anyone against stopping, questioning or harassing voters who supposedly do not have the “typical Malaysian look”.

EC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof, who issued the warning, said the commission was serious about enforcing the Election Offences Act and anyone found guilty of doing so could be jailed two years or fined RM5,000 or both.
