PETALING JAYA: Both the MCA and DAP want the Islamic and Asian Civilisation Studies (Titas) to be an elective and not a compulsory subject for local private colleges.
“To make study of a single religion-civilisation compulsory for non-followers is a step back- ward from national harmony,” said MCA vice-president Gan Ping Sieu.
