GEORGE TOWN: The state government has recommended to the deputy public prosecutor's (DPP) office to file an appeal in the Penang High Court for heavier sentence on a landowner who was earlier fined RM30,000 for carrying out illegal earthworks on Bukit Relau.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the matter was submitted by the Penang Municipal Council to the DPP's office on Friday to make necessary recommendations for the appeal.
