GEORGE TOWN: The appointment of a young woman as a municipal councillor, apparently without going through the due process, has drawn flak from Penang Barisan Nasional leaders.
They claimed the state government was not transparent in appointing 26-year-old Nur Fitriah Abdul Halim (pic) since she was chosen merely to fill the Malay and gender quota.
