KUALA LUMPUR: Some RM2.5mil has been saved by the Government in healthcare costs since 2006 when the harm reduction programme was launched, said the Centre of Excellence for Research in AIDS.
The centre’s lead researcher Herlianna Naning said that the number of injecting drug users (IDUs) who avoided being infected by HIV due to the programme had reached 3,100 people.
