Unit scores Kelantan’s biggest drug haul

KOTA BARU: The Army Border Patrol scored the state’s biggest drug bust when it seized 162,000 amphetamine pills worth about RM4.8mil at Pengkalan Haram Gergaji, Rantau Panjang.

The commander of the 8th Brigade, Datuk Zaki Hamzah, said the suspect, who was bringing in the banned substance from Thailand, managed to escape but left the contraband by the river banks and fled back into Thailand while crossing Sungai Golok on Saturday night.
