TAN Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia won a contest for the Dewan Rakyat Speaker’s post after the Opposition MPs moved a motion to select someone else as the Speaker.

The election for the Speaker’s post was triggered when the Barisan Nasional MPs, led by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak moved a motion to re-elect Pandikar Amin as the Speaker.
