KUALA LUMPUR: More than 7,000 types of fake medicine, worth RM15mil, have been confiscated by health authorities here over the past five years.
Deputy director of enforcement, Pharmaceutical Services Division of the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Health Department Rosnaini Kamaruddin said some of the 7,468 medicines were not registered and were contaminated with prohibited items, like steroids.
