Haze: Schools in Pasir Gudang, Pontian, Kota Tinggi reopen tomorrow


JOHOR BARU: Three hundred schools in Kota Tinggi, Pontian and Pasir Gudang, which were closed because of the haze on Friday, will reopen tomorrow following a drop in the Air Pollutants Index (API) readings for the three areas.

Johor education director Mohd Nor A Ghani said the district education offices and management of the schools concerned had been asked to inform parents or guardians on the development so that the 187,590 students affected could return to classes. However, he advised students with health problems like asthma to don face masks.
