GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Municipal Council has issued a show-cause letter to the owner of Menara Umno for carrying out work that delayed the reopening of a stretch of Macalister Road.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the council had completed the road repairs but could not reopen the stretch from the junction of Lorong Madras to Jalan Zainal Abidin because of the work being carried out at the building by JKP Sdn Bhd.
