NS to trainees: “If you are pregnant, tell us”

KUANTAN: National Service (NS) trainees who are pregnant should declare upfront when reporting for training to avoid incidents like the one that happened at Kem Sri Ledang in Jementah, said NS Training Department director-generalDatuk Abdul Hadi Awang Kechil on Thursday.

He said the incident, where an 18-year-old trainee gave birth to a male baby in the camp's toilet on Wednesday, was regrettable and could have been avoided as pregnant trainees could be exempted from the programme.
