PETALING JAYA: The comment by Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri Zinin that it may not be necessary to set up an Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) to prevent police-lock-up deaths has drawn divided response from several quarters.
Suhakam commissioner James Nayagam said the police needed to enforce stricter regulations on lock-up procedures.
