Raja Azmi Raja Sulaiman

CONTROVERSIAL film producer Raja Azmi Raja Sulaiman (pic) is set to marry a guitarist from a popular 1990s rock group after a six-month courtship, Kosmo! reported.

The 54-year-old Raja Azmi said she would hold a press conference soon to introduce her husband-to-be and announce their wedding date.

The man is a divorcee and of the same age as her, Raja Azmi revealed.

She said they met at a gymnasium and she was attracted to his sense of humour, adding that this was the third time she had fallen in love.

Raja Azmi married former badminton star Jailani Sidek on Dec 22, 1984 in Kamunting and the couple divorced on June 27 last year. They have three children aged between 19 and 28.

> Harian Metro reported that a woman assaulted her husband after he caught her with her Bangladeshi lover.

The man spotted his wife and her lover near Central Market in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday afternoon and decided to follow them as they headed to a nearby budget hotel.

A police source told the daily that after the woman and her boyfriend checked into a room, the husband confronted his wife and a heated argument ensued.

“The woman turned violent and used a helmet to beat up her husband before fleeing with her boyfriend,” the source said, adding that the husband then lodged a police report.

The daily also reported that a 15-year-old boy was beaten into a coma for refusing to join a gang.

Ooi Boon King was in a coma at the intensive care unit of Hospital Sungai Buloh following the incident on Monday night.

The boy was reported to have been beaten up by a group of seven boys armed with sticks and iron rods in front of a cyber cafe at Damansara Damai at about 11.30pm.

The daily said police had identified the attackers from CCTV footage, but no arrests had been made yet.
