SHAH ALAM: Malaysia is on track to achieve its target of smart athletes, which is to have at least 30 percent of the country's athletes studying at institutions of higher learning (IPT) by 2015, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The IPT sports development policy, which started in September 2009, has encouraged the creation of “thinking athletes” through the transformation of the approach sports at the varsity level, he said.
