Penang Government plans pay rise for assemblymen


GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Go­vern­ment intends to revise and increase the remuneration and salaries of the state executive councillors, assemblymen and municipal councillors by year-end.

State Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Miti­gation Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the current monthly salaries had not been increased since 2005.
