Prosecution given until June 6 to decide on rape-marry case

KOTA KINABALU: A court here on Monday has ordered the prosecution to decide on whether they want to proceed with charges against a 40-year-old restaurant manager who married under Syariah law the 13-year-old girl he is accused of raping.

Sessions Court Judge Ummu Khatom Abd Samad gave till June 6 for the A-G's Chambers to decide if they wanted to proceed on the case against Riduan Masmud who married his victim as his second wife in the midst of rape case.
