KL supports talks to end Syria crisis


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has reiterated its full support for the United Nations General Assem-bly’s resolution on the situation in Syria by encouraging all parties to engage in moderation, compromise and peaceful dialogue in order to resolve the conflict in the republic.

Malaysia’s Permanent Repre­sentative to the United Nations Datuk Hussein Haniff said Ma­l­aysia fully supported the determination of the Joint Special Representative of the UN and the League of Arab States envoy for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi to resume efforts in resolving the crisis through negotiation.
