PETALING JAYA: Tension is rising among rival party supporters with an average of more than 100 cases of election-related violence and misdemeanours reported daily in the three days after nominations.
Inspector-General of Police secretariat assistant head Asst Comm Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said that 1,056 such cases with 30 arrests had been recorded since the dissolution of the Dewan Rakyat on April 3.
