GE13: Shahrizat – No one to blame for small number of BN female candidates


KUALA LUMPUR: Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil said she is not going to blame anyone for the small number of female candidates Barisan Nasional in the 13th general election.

She said she had given her all to fight for more female candidates and that there was a slight increase this time around, with women representing 10.3% of Barisan's parliament seat candidates compared to 9.5% in the 2008 general election.
