GE13: Nik Aziz defends statement on Umno members' prayers

KOTA BARU: PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat has defended his statement that Umno members and supporters will not earn divine merits for performing daily prayers as they had rejected Islamic laws.

"Umno people are people who reject Islam. When you reject Islam, you reject Allah. That is why we accept Islam because Islam is beautiful," he told reporters after launching the deer farm project in Kubang Kerian here.
