“My favourite racer is Lewis Hamilton. He is the first man of colour to get into the Formula One industry and that is something to be proud of,” said Johnson, whose band is famous for funky and smooth tunes like Let's Groove, September and Fantasy.
Present at the event were guests of honour the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah who were treated to a riveting and soulful performance by Babyface.
Also present were the wife of the Prime Minister Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Malaysian squash queen Datuk Nicol David. The guests then joined F1 racers such as Hamilton for dinner.
