GE13: Reach out to the public via social media, police told

KUALA LUMPUR: All personnel must reach out to the rakyat via social media to convince them of the country's security and counter rumours during the general election, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar.

Assuring the public that the police would be ready for any outcome from the polls, the force, he said, was committed towards ensuring the safety and security of everyone.
