Elderly man hacked to death by nephew

IPOH: An elderly man was hacked to death by his nephew following a heated argument at their home in Kampung Simee here.

OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong said the victim, Phoon Hor Sai, 67, died on the spot after being hacked with an axe by his 56-year-old nephew on Tuesday at about 10.40am.

“We received a call from one of the victim’s relatives and arrived to find the victim lying in a pool of blood.

“After an initial investigation, police arrested the victim’s nephew on the spot,” he said yesterday.
