ALOR SETAR: Kolej Universiti Insaniah (Kuin) has been slapped with a RM272,000 compound fine for accepting 34 students who did not meet the minimum entry requirements set by the Higher Education Ministry.
Higher Education Department director-general Prof Datuk Dr Rujhan Mustafa said Kuin was guilty of accepting the students, under Section 40(1) of the Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996.
