POPULAR actress Rozita Che Wan agreed to marry 29-year-old actor Zain Saidin after he presented her with a ring and a love letter before heading to Gaza on a humanitarian mission, reported Metro Ahad.
In the note, Zain, who is 13 years younger than Rozita, said: “If I am no longer in this world, I want you to accept this ring as a sign that I was a part of your life. I want it to be a beautiful memory for both of us.”
The love letter touched Rozita, 42, so much and she accepted the pan-Asian actor's marriage proposal.
“He presented the ring and letter to my family because I was not at home. I cried as I read the letter. It was obvious that he was sincere,” said the mother of two teenagers from a previous marriage.
Zain said age was not a factor in their relationship because Rozita possessed characteristics of his dream woman.
“As a woman, she is perfect, be it in the physical sense or inner qualities. She is very patient and loving.
“Her experience from her previous marriage makes her more matured and she can guide me,” he said.
> The daily also reported that 13 foreign guest relations officers were detained in a raid by the Anti-Secret Societies, Gaming and Anti-Vice (D7) Division of the Cheras police district headquarters.
The team raided the premises of an entertainment centre in Cheras in its Ops Noda at 1am on Saturday after receiving a public tip-off.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohan Singh said police detained a man, believed to be the club owner, together with eight women from China and five Thai women.
Insp Zaili Zakaria, who led the operation, said the raid was carried out to ensure entertainment centres complied with licence requirements by prohibiting underage teenagers to enter the premises.
