PETALING JAYA: William Yau Zhen Zhong's parents hope the inquest into his death will clear the air.

“We hope to find out how William died.

“There are too many questions and no answers,” said his mother Goh Ying Ying, 28.

She hopes the inquest into the death of her middle child will bring closure.

“We would like to see some justice, and for the speculation and rumours to stop,” she added.

Deputy Subang Jaya OCPD Supt Tan Ah Chua said the inquest could begin the same day as the mention of the case today at the magistrate's court here.

However, Supt Tan also said there was also a possibility of the inquest being postponed to a later date.

There have been no credible leads into how William disappeared from Putra Heights on Jan 16 and how his body ended up in a river near Port Klang nine days later.

A post-mortem yielded inconclusive results due to the advanced decomposition of his body.

William, six, was last seen exiting his father's car to look for his parents who were in an electrical appliance store in Putra Heights on Jan 16.

He and two other siblings were left in the car unattended.

The case has drawn much speculation like William falling into a drain or being abducted by predators.

The 54 witnesses interviewed by police in connection to the case are expected to be called to give their statements during the inquest.
