PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia is not affected by the horse meat scandal raging in Europe, said Veterinary Services Department director-general Datuk Dr Abdul Aziz Jamaluddin.
Dr Abdul Aziz said Malaysia did not import beef from Europe and that it imported the meat only from from selected abattoirs that had been certified halal in Australia, New Zealand and Brazil, while buffalo meat was imported from India.
