Hisham: Options still open to resolve Lahad Datu standoff

LAHAD DATU: Malaysian authorities are still keeping their options open in resolving the standoff with the armed Sulu group holed up at the isolated Kampung Tanduo seaside village at Felda Sahabat 17 near here.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein, who arrived here on Tuesday to assess the situation, said Malaysia was doing everything possible to ensure that the standoff, now into its second week, is settled without bloodshed.
