ALOR SETAR: This year, the Chinese New Year celebration here will be without pomp and pageantry following the decision by the PAS-led government to introduce strict entertainment guidelines, says MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung.
He said following the issuance of the guidelines, not many performers are willing to go on stage at a shopping complex here for the 1Malaysia Chinese New Year Celebration event.
