Seven million households, individuals apply for BR1M 2.0


SUNGAI PETANI: Some seven million households and unmarried individuals have applied for the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) 2.0 which will be paid out next month.

Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah said 4.1 million of the applicants were households which had received the BR1M last year. The the rest were fresh applicants comprising about 1.7 million single unmarried individuals as well as households which had just applied. "We have brought forward to this year the 4.1 million BR1M recipients of last year (without them having to register again).
