Famed Jade Buddha coming to KL

PETALING JAYA: The famed Jade Buddha - a 2.6m-tall jade statue, which is also the largest gemstone Buddha statue in the world - will be on exhibition in Kuala Lumpur.

The four-tonne (4,000kg) statue was carved out of an 18-tonne (18,000kg) pure Canadian jade boulder by Australian Buddhists Ian and Judy Green, based on the Buddha statue at the Mahabodhi Stupa in Bodh Gaya, India.
